3 Months
Our darling Sawyer,
You are three months old and such an adorable boy. Mommy and Daddy are still completely smitten with you. At three months you
*roll over from tummy to back (your first time was at seven weeks old and you rolled four times in a row)
*love to smile (all the time)
*are a great sleeper (7 hours through the night at 7 weeks, now you normally sleep about 11 hours with a dream feed in there)
*are a fast eater (6 minutes, then sometimes more after a little break)
*love your awake time (we are starting to stretch it to an hour and 15 minutes from your feeding time, you have been at an hour on the dot since you were itty bitty)
*go down for naps and nighttime so easily (we sing a little song and lay you down. Sometimes you fuss for a few minutes before drifting off)
*love to play patty-cake with Daddy (he gets big smiles from you)
*like to watch Ruby Dew (I think it is the contrast between her black eyes and nose and her white fur, plus she moves around)
*are starting to watch your hands and the way your fingers move (you started this when Daddy was in Phoenix and he was sad he missed it)
*are learning how to grab toys and bring them to your mouth (you love to do this with burp cloths, too)
*have earnestly started sucking on your hands (but not your thumb yet)
*love tummy time and can stay on your tummy for 20 minutes or more (you have always been good with tummy time)
*started spitting up and always try to do it when Mom is not ready (you like aiming for the couch, bed or carpet where it is harder to clean up)
*love to have "flapjack" time at night (your favorite place to flapjack is on the changing table, I think you like to look at the Christmas lights above you)
*still don't enjoy getting in your car seat (you always fuss when we tighten the straps)
*like to look in the mirror at bath time (you rarely cry during baths, even when we get water on your face)
*can hold your head up for so long when you are interested in something (you fuss when you are bored)
*love to try and watch TV when it is on (sometimes I think you are part owl because you can turn your head so far)
*enjoy going on walks (you don't usually nap when we are outside)
*are on a pretty good routine but handle it well when we get off schedule (this is good for Mom)
*love to laugh at Daddy when he sings you songs and makes noises at you (he likes to howl like a baby wolf)
*have long conversations with us (when you are in the mood)
*love Grandma Lila and Papa (and they love you)
*love snuggle time at night (you have always been a great snuggler)
*love play time in bed with Daddy in the mornings (you get to play with Tigger, too)
*are very tolerant of all the affection that goes on when cousins are around (Cousin Allyson loves to hold you and give you loves, Cousin Anya is a close second)
*are spoiled when we are with the Dobson cousins (they love to feed you and hold you and watch you sleep)
*are the sunshine of Mommy and Daddy's days (and nights)
You have lots of nicknames: Little-Chris, Little Brother (mom picked that one up from Papa), Itty Bitty, Bitty Boy, Little Britches, Flapjack, Sawy-boy (pronounced Soy-boy), TophSaywer (mostly in hashtags), Bitty, Sleepyhead Sawyer and probably several others that I can't think of.
You are such an angel. You have been so good right from the start. You have made motherhood (and fatherhood) such an easy adjustment. I think we are perfect for each other. We are so blessed that you joined our family. We love you, Bitty.
Love Mommy and Daddy

I love all his names. Cute little names are impossible not to give cute, cuddly little babies. :)
Cute little Sawyer! I didn't know he was that good at tummy time or that he had discovered his hands. Anya will be happy he is starting to grab things. Next time he might take what she is offering. Did you cut his hair again just before these pictures?
I love to read all the fun stuff about what he is doing and how he is growing.
